2025 National Club Championship

Congratulations to our three Windy City Travel Teams at the National Club Championship! All three age groups, U14, U16 & U19 competed in the National Club Championships in Virginia Beach, VA in June/July 2025.

U19 Windy City Fire claimed 5th in the Nation with a 5-1-0 record. In the Dream Pool, Windy City beat New Heights (NJ) 4-2 and Bull City (NC)  1-0 to take first place in pool play. In crossovers, Windy City defeated Freedom Hockey (MD)  2-1 to advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, Windy City faced the eventual NCC Champions, WC Eagles (PA), and lost 0-7. In the final day, Windy City beat Mayhem (PA) 1-0  and closed out the tournament with a 2-1 victory vs AIM (MO) to finish 5th out of 24 teams.

U16 Windy City Flame finished 4th in the Nation with a 3-2-1 record. Flame opened the Independence pool play with a 3-1 win vs Mayhem (PA) and dropped to Focus (VA)  0-2. In the crossover round, Windy City defeated AGH (CT) 3-2 and beat New Heights (NJ) 1-0 in the quarterfinals to advance to Top 4. Windy City faced eventual NCC Champions, WC Eagles (PA) 0-8 and went on to have a great performance in the bronze medal game vs Centrecourt to eventually lose in a heartbreaking shootout. Windy City U16’s finished 4th out of 24 in the Nation,

U14 Windy City Spark finished 14th overall at Nationals. The U14’s couldn’t seem to find their groove, but they worked hard and put everything they had on the field in the suffocating heat! U14 Windy City had an overall record of 3-3-0 with wins vs Pinnacle (MI) 2-1, and H2O 3-0 and vs Patriot 5-0. Close games vs Uprise 1-2, Relentless 1-2 and Warhawks 1-2. The losses were all so close and we couldn’t be prouder of the girls!

We are incredibly proud of these teams for their outstanding performances and dedication throughout the tournament.
